This one is incomplete, but it’s pretty close, so I’m posting it as the painting today, anyway!
After completing a painting every night for the past few weeks, I’ve have had a couple recently that I just couldn’t quite finish by the end of the night. This painting is another “mashup” where I’ve been given two separate photos to put together into one painting. These are a lot of fun because they give me the opportunity to really take artistic license and place the subjects wherever I think they look best in the photo. They only problem is that this makes the planning for the painting take a bit longer, so I don’t start painting until later in the evening.
For those of you wondering what my daily paint schedule is like, here’s how this painting challenge currently fits into my life:
8:30 am-3:30 pm – Work my “day job” planning nature programs for Suffolk Parks and Recreation.
4 pm– Pick up kids from school.
4:30 pm- 8 pm – Homework, Dinner, Board games, Husband comes home from work 7:30, insert several AAAAAAAAAGGGGHH! moments, kid’s bath, reading Captain Underpants, etc.
8:30-9– Kid’s bedtime
9-9:30 Husband and I sit down and talk, eat, laugh.
9:30-midnightish– Photo editing, Painting, Blog post
You may be asking yourself, “When does she clean the house?”, and to that I say- – – Never. I never clean the house.
Love it, as usual. Don’t know how you do it all. I think the paintings with humans included should count as more than one painting! And one of yours had 3 humans!
